Kim Humphreys Honored by Women in Manufacturing

“I have long admired this organization for their mission to support, promote, and inspire women every day. To be recognized among such an esteemed group of industry leaders is a truly humbling experience.”

At Avery Dennison, we maintain a commitment to excellence. As one of our guiding values, it underscores everything we do. One of our greatest honors is having that commitment recognized in our employees. We are proud to congratulate Kim Humphreys, former vice president of operations and supply chain, on her induction into the Women in Manufacturing Hall of Fame

Humphreys, who recently retired from Avery Dennison after 17 years with the company, was recognized for her exceptional determination to further the development and advancement of women in manufacturing. During her tenure at Avery Dennison, she was known amongst her colleagues both for overseeing numerous investments in her division’s manufacturing operations, and for mentoring women to help them find success in the field. In 2018, she was a recipient of an Avery Dennison Leadership Excellence Award for her work in founding Elevate, an employee resource group that strengthens a diverse and inclusive work environment through programs, resources, support and advocacy aimed at advancing women in leadership positions.

Through her regular involvement in on-campus recruiting, Humphreys consistently identified qualified female candidates in the manufacturing and engineering fields. Additionally, she served on the Miami University Paper Science and Engineering Foundation board, an organization that recruits students to study paper science, provides scholarships, and helps students find internships and jobs in the paper industry.

“The induction into the Women in Manufacturing Hall of Fame is an incredible honor,” said Humphreys. “I have long admired this organization for their mission to support, promote, and inspire women every day. To be recognized among such an esteemed group of industry leaders is a truly humbling experience.”

The Women in Manufacturing Hall of Fame induction is an annual event which seeks to commemorate leaders who have exhibited a commitment to growing the voice of women in the manufacturing industry and have created pathways for other women to succeed. As one of this year’s 15 inductees, Humphreys is honored with professionals from other leading companies including Boeing, John Deere and Toyota.
